Jim Bradford Jackson, 76, of Decatur died at 10:01 PM Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Decatur Memorial Hospital E.R.
Jim was born on April 7, 1933 in Dalton City, IL the son of Lloyd Everett and Stella Myrtle (Kyle) Jackson. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from AT &T.
He married Sybil V. Michels on June 10, 1956 in Decatur she preceded him in death on March 10, 2008.
He is survived by his sons, Brett Jackson (Sherri) of Decatur; Todd Jackson (Patty) of Mt. Zion; Brian Jackson of Decatur; son-in-law, Dennis Owens; brother, Bernard Jackson (Ruth) grandchildren, Brandon Jackson of Fulton, MO; Andrew Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Jim Jackson all of Decatur; Chad Jackson and Lauren Jackson both of Mt. Zion; Rachel Owens and Brian L. Jackson Jr. both of Decatur; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Chuck Jackson, daughter, Kathy Owens, three sisters, and four brothers.
A memorial service will be 7:00 pm Thursday March 4, 2010 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Kent officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, Memphis, TN 38101-2151
