Kathleen "Kathy" Dawn Owens, 46, of Decatur passed away at 9:15 pm on Tuesday February 23, 2010 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Kathy was born on April 20, 1963 in Decatur the daughter of Jim B. and Sybil V. (Michels) Jackson. She married Dennis Owens on August 25, 1984 in Decatur.
She survived by her husband, Dennis; daughter, Rachel L. Owens of Decatur; father, Jim Jackson of Decatur; brothers, Brett Jackson (Sherri) of Decatur; Todd Jackson (Patty) of Mt. Zion; Brian Jackson of Decatur; eight nieces and nephews and several, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sybil V. Jackson and one brother, Chuck Jackson.
A memorial service will be 4:00 pm Saturday February 27, 2010 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Kent officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Memorials are suggested to Children Miracle Network or American Kidney Foundation. The family also encourages everyone to register to be an organ donor.
