Joseph D. "Pete" Danbury, 77, of Decatur passed away at 11:04 pm on Sunday, February 14, 2010 in his home.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday February 17, 2010 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Private family graveside will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.
Pete was born on June 18, 1932 in Decatur the son of Dean Martin and Theresa (Sapp) Danbury. He was retired from Wagner Casting. He married Shirley Fishman on September 15, 1951 she preceded him in death on August 4, 2000.
Surviving are his sons, Sam J. Danbury of Vernon Hills; Charles A. Danbury (Joni) of Decatur; grandchildren, Matthew Danbury (Julia), Jesse Danbury, and Sarah Danbury all of Decatur; and a great-grandson, Grayson also of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers, William Danbury and Steve Danbury.
